Names: Manuel Ezidio De Freitas
Comments: I am looking for information om Manuel Ezidio De Freitas (maternal
grandfather) was born on 10 Oct 1887 (approximately) in Sao Vicente de
Bonaventura, Madeira. He had six sisters, of which one was named Ezoura. He
emmigrated to Georgetown, British Guyana in approximately 1904. He was
married in 1907 to Maria Cecilia Gonsalves. They had ten children. He died in
Guyana in 1940 and is buried in Georgetown. We would like, specifically, to
trace the whereabouts of his sisters or their ancestors. Any information

Comments: hello my name is Ana C Costa. I still have lots of family in sao
vicente and funchal and i think some in portugal and destinante relatives in
brazil and venazula my family surnames are: Costa, Camacho, Andrade. I want to
start my own family tree and i need some information. I know my grandfather
name is Jose DeCosta and i think is birthday is on September 15, ???? i just
know he just turned 80 this past year (1997)

Comments: Juanita Rogers, nee de la Rosa, granddaughter of F A Corea. No idea
where in Madeira my family comes from, but they were originally Correia, and
I believe came out from Madeira in the 1840's. My great great or great great
great grandfather was Joaquim Correia and I believe he came out to St Vincent
already married. His son or grandson was George Corea of Sans Souci in St
Vincent. George Corea, my great grandfather married Amelia Jardine from
Grenada (would have been about 1880's, so any information about her family

Comments: Researching the possibility of jewish roots.Have sent a DNA sample to
www.familytreedna.com. Should have results by mid-june. The names I have are my grandfather,
Francis Vieira Cro’ or Caro or Coroa (I am unclear on the last name spelling at this time), who
immigrated to USA just before WW1 on my dads side. He came from Madeira, Portugal. He changed
the spelling to Carew. His dad’s name was John Vieira Cro’. Born in Sao Vincent,district of
Funchal, Madeira, Portugal. Born 10-25-1874. His dad Antonio Vieira Cro’. His mother Antonia
dos Santos. His wifes name was Maria Augusta Goncalves in Sao Vincent, district of Funchal,
Madeira, Portugal. Born 3-23-1871. Her mothers name may have been Maria Joaquina. I hope this
helps and makes sense. I am just getting started. I am sure the DNA test will help too. More

Comments: I grew up without my father for 22 years and now am curious about my biological father.
I was told serveral different stories from various family members but I want to know the truth.
As a mother myself, I feel very lost, not knowing my roots and most of all, who is/was my father.
My father's name is Avelino Fernandes de Sousa. His father's name is Antonio de Sousa, and his
mother's name is Ludovina Fernandes. I do believe my father was married at the time i was born,
1985. I was told I have two older brothers, no names but I'm sure they are De Sousa. I would also
be looking for my godmother, Teresa Maria Figeura Abreu. My godfather, Albino Gil Catanho da Silva,
passed away in 2002(?) but I would also be looking for any relatives/friends if possible. If anyone
has any information or knows where I can get more help with finding him, please feel free to email
me. Thank you!
