Comments: Bexiga (grandmother's side), Martins (grandfather's side, from somewhere else in Portugal). I am new to genealogy, but I do know a little of my family. I was told that between 1910-1920 (possibly 1914), my great-great uncle under the Bexiga side moved to San Francisco and then New York. The rest of my family (my grandparents, mother, and aunt, of the name Martins) moved to NY in the early 1960's. I do know that I am somewhat related to almost all of the people in Bordeira, by about 10 generations or more. If anyone has anymore information, please email me!!!! Thank you!!!

Comments: My name is Franco Neto and I live in Virginia Beach, Va. I am currently researching the surname "Neto" in the Algarve region, in particular the little village of Estoi. My great grandfather is Jose Antonio Neto and his wife was Mario do Rosario Lopes. Estoi is in the concelho de Faro. I was also wondering, is there a listing of ships that left from Brazil to the US? My great grandmother, Gerstudes Rosa de Barriga left from Portugal to go to Brazil and supposedly left for America circa 1927. Hence, I may have relatives in the U.S! Searching for: (Pedro) De Souza
Comments: I am keen on finding any information about my great-great-great grandfather Pedro De Souza who left Tavira for India in about 1820. He was known in India as Capto Pedro De Souza, retired of 'Venta Rosa', Tavira, Algarve, Portugal. He married Frances St. George in Bombay. His descendants include his son Joseph + 4 other children, and his grandson Frank. Any information on how to go about this quest much appreciated. Thanks!
