Her maiden name is Fontina or Fontinha before they Americanized it. Her Father's

Comments: I am looking for a connection between Juan Cabral and Francisca de Almeida Olivares, citizens
of Coimbra, Coimbra, Portugal, who emigrated to the Dominican Republic before 1649, and the Cabral Family
of Coimbra and Belmonte, Portugal. The following shows several generations of the descendants of Juan
(João) Cabral and Francisca de Almeida Olivares in Republica Dominicana:
Their son, Gaspar de Almeida Cabral married María Olivares de Tapia on April 7, 1649 in Santo Domingo,
Dominican Republic. Gaspar was Caballero del Hábito de Santiago. Their son, Juan Cabral Gómez Olivares
married Antonia de Torres Plasencia on November 11,1692. Their son, Miguel Cabral Torres married Leonor
Maldonado de Herediaon on July 21, 1724. Their son, Marcos Cabral Maldonado married Magdalena Valera Reyes.
Their son, Marcos Cabral Valera married María Aibar de Luna. Their son, Marcos Cabral Aibar was born
May 19, 1792 in Hincha, and married María Ramona Luna de Andújar.

Comments: My husband's father Antonio Grilo born in Buarcos, county of Figueira da Foz, Coimbra,
Beira Litoral, Portugal in 1895. Parents: Joao dos Santos Grilo and Maria Rosa da Silva. He has
three brothers: Julio, Joao, Venancio and a sister Rosa. Antonio came to the US and later to Canada
where he had a wife and family, my husband one of his sons. Antonio has passed away and lost all
contact with his family in Portugal. All we have is his birth certificate. We have a daughter who
resembles her Portuguese family heritage and would be much like to meet some of her relatives from
Portugal. If anyone can help me please e-mail me.

was Antonio Joaquim De Faria from Figuera Da Foz, he had a brother named Manuel who
moved to Brazil. Antonio came to New Zealand. I would appreciate any assistance.

Comments: Hi, I'm brasilian and I'm looking for my portuguese roots. I live in Rio
de Janeiro and my mother's family come from Portugal. My mother single surname was
Gomes da Costa. Her father was Joaquim da Costa Gomes from Cascaiz. Her mother was
Eugenia Gomes Lourenço from Figueira da Foz. My mother fathers was cousins. My
mother Grandpa was Serafim Marinheiro Mau. My brother discover that this surname
"Mau" come from the surname "Mauchel". My father was born in a brasilian state called
Pernambuco. My father mother was Santina Pais de Vasconcelos. Her single surname was
Santina Pais Caminha. Her father was João Batista Vasconcelos. My father's grandpa
was Liberio ... de Vasconcelos. It's al I know at this moment.

Comments: Carlos de Silva owned land in Carvalhais, married Adelaide Ramalho, three
children born to them in Portugal. Antonio, Joaquim, and Augusto. Carlos left for
US in 1926, and wife and three children followed in 1929. Carlos had brother who
died in World War II and a brother who was an exporter/importer in Lisboa. Adelaide,
raised her two half brothers, Manuel and Larry Ramalho after their Mother died in
childbirth. Adelaide had a brother who was a banker in Figueira da Foz. We know of
one cousin, we must have more.

Comments: My grandfather Adelino Serra emigrated to US / Fall River, Mass then
Providence, R.I. in about 1918. He was from Coimbra/Lousa/Vilarinho (Pova de Fiscal)
area. He was born September 13, 1892. His parents were Jose Firminio and Maria Ferreira
Serra. He had 4 brothers (Manuel,Antonio, Joaquim, Joseph) and four sisters (Angelina,
Maria, Rita, Piedade). All other siblings remained in Portugal except one brother
Antonio who emigrated to Santos, Brasil. My grandfather served in the Portuguese
military prior to coming to USA. I am looking for any information concerning family

Ferreira Pimentel who was born in the 1820's or so in Portomar, Mira in the district
of Coimbra. He married Anna Domingues d'Almeida who was also from the same place. I
am also looking for more infromation on another 3rd great grandfather, Manuel Francisco
d'Oliviera Arrais who was also born in the 1820's or so in Portomar, Mira in the
district of Coimbra. He married Anna Rosa de Jesus of the Vagos area. His parents
were Jose d' Oliviera Arrais and Joaquina Domingues. Both of which were from Portomar
